ALL I WANT

All I want is just to see you smile
To make my living worth a while
All I want is just to see you walk
To make me gape and wish to talk
All I want is just to see you sleep
To be a pillow for you to keep
All I want is just to see you cry
To cheer you up and make ur cheeks dry
All I want is just to see you dine
To quench your thirst being the wine
All I want is just to see you read
To be the candle light that you need
All I want is just to see you sick
To be the medicine that you pick
All I want is just to see you tired
To be the bed that can be hired
All I want is just to see you play
To be the ground for your feet to lay
All I want is just to see you dance
To be the one to get your glance
All I want is just to see you sing
To be the rhythm of your wing
All I want is just to see you glad
To be the person you drive mad
All I want is just to see you be mine
To be together and make your life shine

EVERYTHING

I”ll be the smile if you are happy
I’ll be the words if you are worried
I”ll be the sunshine if you are sky
I’ll be the flower if you are a garden
I’ll be the rain if you are dry
I”ll be the river if you are thirsty
I”ll be the food if you are hungry
I’ll be the chair if you are tired
I”ll be the pillow if you are sleepy
I”ll be the blanket if you are cold
I’ll be the touch if you are weak
I”ll be the tear if you are sad
I’ll be the wind if you are alone
I’ll be your everything simply
Because you are my everything

FUSE OF FAITH

I saw three men standing in a straight line
Jesus walked past them, He looked so divine;

He stood by the first man and gave him a hug
The man began to glow and to Jesus he snug

Jesus moved ahead and touched the second man
He also began to glow with the same span

Jesus moved ahead and looked at the third one
Like the other two men he also glew and shone

I saw the three men glow and shine so bright
And wondered what Jesus did was even right

I went to Jesus and said "Lord, this isn't fair;
You hugged one, touched another to make them glare

The third one looked like You didn’t even care."
He smiled and told me the reason He would share

The faith of the first man was so very weak
My hug he needed because I knew he was a bleak

The faith of the second one was not very dark
My gentle touch he needed to glow as a spark

The faith of the third one was so very great
Just a look of mine would make him radiate

I marveled at the answer of my Lord, it was so fine
He said, I know exactly the need of each child of mine

As I opened my eyes and looked out at the sunbeam
Soon I realized that God had spoken to me in my dream

Faith is like a fuse, without which there is no power
Trust God with all your heart, He’s the abundant life giver

If Jesus came to your house

If Jesus came to your house to spend a day or two. …
If He came unexpectedly. I wonder what you’d do.
Oh, I know you’d give your nicest room to such an honored guest.
And all the food you’d serve to Him would be the very best,
And you would keep assuring Him you’re glad to have Him there. …
But. … when you saw Him coming, would you meet Him at the door.
With arms outstretched in welcome to our heav’nly visitor?
Or would you maybe change your clothes before you let Him in,
Or hide some magazines and put the Bible where they’d been?
Would you turn off the radio and hope He hadn’t heard,
And wish you hadn’t uttered that last, loud and hasty word?
Would you hide your worldly music and put some hymn books out?
Could you let Jesus walk right in, or would you rush about?
And I wonder. … If the Savior spent a day or two with you,
Would you go right on doing the things you always do?
Would you go right on saying the things you always say?
Would life for you continue as it does from day to day?
Would your family conversation keep up its usual pace?
And would you find it hard each meal to say a table grace?
Would you sing the songs you always sing and read the book you read?
And let Him know the things on which your mind and spirit feed
Would you take Jesus with you everywhere you’d planned to go,
Or would you, maybe, change your plans for just a day or so?
Would you be glad to have Him meet your very closest friends,
Or would you hope they’d stay away until His visit ends?
Would you be glad to have Him stay forever on and on,
Or would you sigh with great relief when He at last was gone?
It might be interesting to know the things that you would do,
If Jesus came in person to spend some time with you.

THIS TOO SHALL PASS

My latest favourite quote is:
"THIS TOO SHALL PASS."

I'm not sure if it is in the bible or not, but I love it so much. Whenever you are going through some tough times and you feel like you are never going to be happy again, just think of this. I've been through a lot, so I can tell this.

I promise that things always get better. God brings you to certain situations to only make you stronger. Some people may not believe that, but I do.

Whether it is losing a loved one or a big test you are feeling anxious or sad about, you will be happy again. Think of everything you have been through already. Believe you are strong and you will be. You best days are ahead of you.

Much love!

MILLION DOLLAR SMILE

Every smile is so artificial
When the heart seeks the not-so-real

I Wish I don’t have to fake
I Wish I get a heart's remake

When I learnt the secret of that million dollar smile
I wondered what took me all this while

It is in the seeking of the simple & noble, in choosing to live in peace
it made me free, it let me breathe and put back the smile of my face.

Yea yea yea I feel so nice
I talk a lot and I laugh aloud, I am so much in peace.

Give me that million dollar smile
When your heart is pure and real

A broken heart your smile might heal
A hardened heart might start to feel

Give away that million dollar smile.

LOGOS HOPE

While sorting through my photos and trying to organize my thoughts, I am reminded of numerous events and several divine connections that remain as fond memories on-board the ship, Logos Hope. Everything from the initial decisions and preparations to the return and wind down has brought with it a flood of emotions and excitement about what God is doing now and what He will do next.

Well, “they” say that a picture is worth 1,000 words… I have over 1,000 pictures which should translate to a million words… minimum! Those of you who have had to endure my picture uploads on facebook know that I have a difficult time “not uploading pictures”. I’ll try to condense my current thoughts into a word picture hoping it will translate for you an accurate analogy of what I experienced onboard.

It was energizing and exciting to  live with 400 crew members from over 45 different nationalities onboard. The common goal of the entire ship's company was to bring knowledge, help and hope to the people of the world. I had the opportunity to hear their stories and it was so encouraging to see God's providence and direction in bringing them to the ship. Many of them onboard have attended the Alpha Course in their respective churches and some were also saved by attending the Alpha Course.

One of the highlights of my trip would definitely be the 15 days of being on land teams during dry-dock in Srilanka. Some of us onboard had this opportunity of serving in a village called Kalladi. The community in the village have been victims of Tsunami and War. The recent flood has not made life easier either. It was moving to see that these people have just one meal a day and have just one mat in their four walled government provided-houses. But one thing that surprised me was that in spite of having nothing at all, they were so content. The joy I saw in their eyes was just amazing. I could see that they trusted God so much and they had their hopes fixed in Christ. That was really encouraging for me because living in big cities we are never content with what God has given us, and we always want more. They were so open to receive us and we could bring the message of hope and demonstrate God's love to people inspite of their circumstance, culture or background.

What makes the ship so unique is the community onboard that reflects God’s love so clearly. Receiving and giving love is what I experienced on the Logos Hope. The opportunity to go and show Christ's love is right where you are. Don’t go looking for it anywhere else. Look for it right where you are. Seize it! Take a step of faith to move forward. Trust God to show you someone today who needs the love of God. God bless you.
